So… his name is Flik, whoever this kid is, right?
I actually came up with that name just now, as I’m uploading this. I always forget to name my characters, and this is no exception. Even Paveline didn’t have a name until I had already drawn the first five pages of the old version. When i write my scripts I tend to just put in “old man” or “girl” or “girl’s brother”. Things like that.
I don’t know if I’m satisfied with the name. I stole it from… Suikoden. Ha ha.
Oh and I just remembered… come next page, I think there will be something that will finally give you people a little bit of context and you’ll think, “Oh, this is starting to tie in.” MAYBE.
Also came across this band called All My Pretty Ones this week and they are amazing. So many good bands from California.
Love the perspective in the first panel. It tells us a lot about Flik’s relation with his world without the aid of a single action or word.
Anyone want to speculate on the context of the next page? My first thought was that this is an origin story for an established character but there doesn’t seem to be anyone appropriate in the cast.

Also, I think you’re right, and I think Para-Ten is going to be much better appreciated when it gets printed. I was thinking about it this morning and it has such a cinematic quality to it, something that will definitely work nicely for it in print. Keep up the good work, buddy!
