YES OK. Remembered to upload it this time. . .
Also starting on page 67 I’ll be doing my inks by hand again! It shouldn’t look too much different, but inking by hand with a brush just makes a lot more sense for the way I draw. Gestural lines on the computer just look messy, but with a brush it looks a lot nicer and I don’t have so spend so much time cleaning them up. So looks like I’m gonna have to deal with the scanner again.
But it’s for the best. I love painting digitally, but not so much drawing.
Oh and if it’s not obvious, the man/child numbers and puts his current age at each new entry. Initially I came up with different months names and years but they just sounded lame so I did this instead.
Also I just finished timing out an an animatic for a 10 minutes animation! Awesome! It’s gonna take hard work oh man! It’ll be the first ten-thousand masks group animation.

That’s pretty sad… the colors really bring his trepidation about the girl to life along with him being accustom the simplistic lifestyle and how she’s going to change his world. I think the third panel is the best, the cold distancing, him in the shadows while they are in the doorway. It’s a lot of symbolism for change and those who wish to shun it.
Lots of plot development going on here. I like it.
Amazing. Also cant wait for your and Kiah’s animation!
Why… This feels all wrong! I thought Para-Ten was a silent comic! What is all this text box Jazz!?
^-^ I love how Akhana looks in the last panel. How is that pronounced by the way? Ahk – ha -na? Ack – Hannah?
It’s time for the literary movement of this chapter. Ha ha ha.
her name is pronounced like… all the “A”s in her name are pronounced as “ah”. Like Ah-Kah-Nah”. The last one might be a little shorter though… like an “uh”
I think this is my favorite page so far! Dunno why! 8D
At this point I see very slight parallels between the purple-haired girl and Victoria from the original Para-Ten, as well as the man in this page and the violinist who fought the Red-Scarves. It’s really slight though, and I suspect it’s half an illusion of mine. Comments?
Oh — the reasons, in case I sound really odd: the purple-haired girl is taken by some soldier vagabond types, just like Victoria is killed by the Red-Scarves. The age difference between the two seems similar and the statue in Paveline’s village links them together, like they’re linked in this story.
They’re really slight similarities, I know, but their bond here FEELS a lot like Victoria and the visitor’s bond in the original comic.
Hmm, I didn’t notice that myself! It’s an interesting observation. But I can see where you would find the connection.
I think it’s more of a spiritual connection than a literal one though. But now that I think about it, that incident with Victoria I think dispersed throughout the comic and unintentionally showed up here, and more intentionally at a part later in the comic.
I like it.
Also, looking forward to animation doodad
Huh.. I almost didn’t see his mother in the fourth panel.
Such language! I’m sure I at that age never said “much to my chagrin”.
Ha ha ha! Good point. Well, different ages have different common vocabulary. I mean different times, years, generations.
